Hello,
it would be very nice to have an option to autoconnect to the DX cluster on program startup.
And: could it be possible to have menu entries to change options/filters more easily in the dx cluster window by clicking instead of using cryptic commands? Like on SK6AW.
Perhaps this started when I switched to the Raleigh theme. I have noticed that the Details window now opens with the exact same dimensions as the New QSO window and is positioned behind it, effectively hiding it. I have resized it and moved it out from under the New QSO window but upon the next startup of CQRlog it will be hidden and enlarged again.
Hi!
It would be great if cqrlog didn't create backup logs when no data were changed since starting the program. At the moment I have a lot of identical backup files, as I was running cqrlog just to check some log data...
Happy new year!

I've noticed that the sunspot numbers always show 0. Right now www.wm7d.net/hamradio/solar is showing 13 sunspots. The A-index, K-index, and solar flux match wm7d.net. Is there a bug with the SSN, or a misunderstanding on my part?

So far I've only noticed this after starting Fldigi in remote mode from CQRlog and then letting both run for several hours. The symptom is that the docked rigctl display in Fldigi will momentarily flash some odd value and then go back to the rig's actual frequency. Closing Fldigi resulted in CQRlog losing the actual rig frequency and displaying the garbage value. I'm guessing that when Fldigi flashes the garbage value coincides with when CQRlog polls for the frequency. I'm not sure Hamlib is suited to two C API apps polling a rig at the same time.
I have had CQRlog running under Fedora 11 32 bit OS. I did a clean install of Fedora 12 64 bit. I have downloaded the CQRlog install file, but cannot get it to install, either using a GUI, or through a console. I have seen the message posted about installing on Fedora 11 64 bit. I am fairly new to Fedora and Linux. I have a big, thick book that I am reading to try to get a more thorough understanding of this OS. I do not know how to install the 32 bit versions of the files mentioned. If I try installing the files, I always get 64 bit versions.
Hi all after updating to 0.9.0 my rig control has stopped working. I think I have had this problem before after an upgrade.
I am using the Following.
Ubuntu 9.10
Hamlib from repository
Icom IC-7000
a Cat control cable via serial port.
This setup works fine with fldigi and worked fine with previous version of CQRLOG.

Wishing all a very merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year.
The v0.90 upgrade was quick. Now with the addition of the 902 band I was able to import my legacy log from Logger32. I hacked the ADIF file from Logger32 so that the CONTEST_ID field got remapped to the notes/comments in CQRLOR.
I started playing with the SQL console which is a very helpful feature.
Just upgraded to version 0.9.0, and once again all columns now have widths which make no sense. Adjusting the widths does not work as they reset on the very next program launch. Also moving the columns to make more sense does not work as these also reset on very next program launch. I am sure I read that these bugs had been resolved but perhaps not. Is there a way of locking the column widths and positions ??

Hello,
there are some differences between the contents of the Bandmap and the DXCluster window. Some entries in the Bandmap windows are shown as ".0". There are also different frequency formats in the DXCluster window.

Hello to anybody...
I was playing with the labels printing export option....
and in a first time I was setting up glabels for printing on a
multi label A4 sheet.... but why spend more money for buying
labels A4 sheet if we have also QSL card printed ?
So I decided to print directly on my QSL card...
now the problem are CVS {-} field...
I need the DAY, MONTH and YEAR field of qso individually...
is this possible ? or are only QSO_DATE ( year_month_day ) available ?
I can not find CVS structure on CQRLOG help....
Hi Guys - Great Program !
Considering changing my base rig here - I know most of the Yaesu - Icom - Kenwood rigs are supported, but what about the K3 or perhaps Ten Tec ??
Wil I have probs setting up these latter rigs?
Interested - Thanks. de P
It is my wish ADRESS labels to print. I would add a feature to "export address labels". (adress and callsign) this is possible. The data are indeed available via qrz.com.
If I type ./cqrlog from the terminal I get:
./cqrlog: error while loading shared libraries: libhamlib.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have libhamlib.so.2 in /usr/lib I tried copying it to the ~/cqrlog/lib and it still fails to find it.
I am running AMD64 Ubuntu 9.10. I was thinking maybe it's looking for 32 bit hamlib files when I only have 64-bit installed.
Any ideas?
I may be doing this incorrectly or do not understand how it should work, but I am trying to filter my log and then sort the resulting QSO's by callsign (looking for dupes according to the filter). What happens is interesting. Lets say I have 2000 qso's in my log. When I apply the filter, I have 100 qso's showing. When I sort by callsign, the program reports 1100 qso's... Not 100 and not 2000. Not the difference.
Tnx for any help.

Any easy way to handle multiple logs?
I have 2 calls (OZ1PIF & 5Q2M) and i'm the QSL Mgr for OX3LX!
I have not found any easy way of dealing with this, ant suggestions?
Or is it an item for the wish-list?

PS: Bummed out by the HAMLIB problems/Serial Port Problems in Ubuntu 9.10 (It's NOT an CQRlog issue)
I have compiled hamlib rpms on Mandriva 2010.My ftp server, n3meq.dynip.com, should these
be useful to anyone you may logon to the server using the login "ftp" without the quotes.
The hamlib rpms live in pub/hamlib/meq_rpms/2010-build.
Best wishes for all this holiday season.

Using CQRLOG 0.8.5 on Ubuntu 9.10.
If I edit an existing QSO and leave the Frequency field blank, when I hit the "Save QSO" button I get a dialog that says:
"" is an invalid float.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
I'd like an option to let me go back and fix the problem. Accepting bad data or killing the whole program seems rather harsh.

Using CQRLOG 0.8.5 with Ubuntu 9.10.
When I import an ADIF file which has fields that contain newline characters, CQRLOG does not properly import anything after the newline.
Original ADIF field:
<notes:71>Elecraft K3 @ 75 W into HF6V vertical
Ten Tec Corsair @ 50 W into G5RV
Resulting text shown in "Comment for callsign:" in CQRLOG:
Elecraft K3 @ 75 W into HF6V verticalinsert into cqr

Using CQRLOG 0.8.5 with Ubuntu 9.10.
In the QSO List view, if I move some columns to a different position, when I quit the program and relaunch, the columns are sometimes back to their old positions. Sometimes it seems to correctly save the new positions, and sometimes it doesn't. I've not been able to figure out a pattern to make it happen consistently.

Just started using CQRLOG with Ubuntu 9.10.
Some column widths in the QSO List view do not seem to be saved when I close and re-open the view.
For example: the RST_R column shows up very wide on my screen. If I resize it to an appropriate size, close the QSO List window, and re-open it, the RST_R column is back to being very wide again. Same with the QTH and PWR columns.
However, if I do the same thing for the FREQ column, it comes back with the new size as expected.
