TRX control doesn't work (Ubuntu 13:10 CQRLOG1.7.1 SB-2000 MK2 FT-897D )

Hello Peter,

I try to run my YAESU FT897D with a SB-2000 MK2 USB/serial interface. But the TRX control doesn't work.

At first I have had the IOerror. So I set the dialout (sudo usermod -G dialout dc5me).

Then nothing happend until I set in Preferences ->TRX control -> the "Run rig control when program starts".

After that my radio start transmitting immediately after startup CQRLOG (without stopping). I found a post that I have to disable DTR und RTS (=OFF). Is that correct?

My situation is that that I have now error when I run the debug mode (cqrlog --debug=1), I can not change modes or recieve actual frequencies.

Hier is the print from the terminal with debug mode. I hope you have any idea how to debug or fix the problem. Thanks allot for your help.

I'm a newbie at this

But I got my FT-847 to work by setting the baud rate to match the rig but leaving everything else set on Default.  Also be sure to look up your radio code and set it.

Solution found

In the last 3 years I have used Ubuntu with the GNOME shell. I have installed a lot of programs (and some problems).

So I reinstalled the operating system with the ubuntu 14.04 (daily build 02/2014). The resoult was that the modem doesn't start to transmit after starting th os.

Then I installed "flrig" to check the basic communication. And it works.

That USB settings I used with "fldigi" and it works on both USB interfaces.

Aftrer that I installed "Cqrlog" and add the repository with "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ok2cqr/ppa;sudo apt-get update".

At least I could use the version 1.7.3 togehter with fldigi.

Thank to Peter and all the other developer for "realy the best linux logging tool" !!!
