I decided it was time to update my Hamlib application to the latest version. Did a 'make uninstall' to clean out the old version and then followed Z34PEC's instructions in the Rigctl error after installing latest hamlib and wsjtx Forum post. Did the git clone https://github.com/Hamlib/Hamlib.git and then followed the installation process. Now I have $ rigctl --version
rigctl Hamlib 4.6~git 2023-11-14T16:23:14Z SHA=847836 64-bit
It doesn't start after install with a simple
$ sudo apt install cqrlog
and libcanberra-gtk3* was installed before...

$ cqrlog --debug=1

When I try to upload to LOTW the signed file, it stops and gives me: Uploading file... size: Error.-2
What does that indicate the problem is?
When I try to download from LOTW, it says NOT logged Errorl-2 Error. Error. ssl_openssl
What's wrong? Thanks!
Good morning all, and thank you for cqrlog!
I have set up a laptop using nixos, and wish to install cqrlog. The version provided via the nixos packages is 2.5.2. In the definition file for installing cqrlog, it has tqsl as a dependency (as expected), but this is pulling in a very old version of openssl (1.1.1), despite the openssl version not being specified in the tqsl package.
Log wont import, I have 25k qso's, it stops at about 4k says complete, but not even the 4k qso's import, no problem importing into many different loggers. I have copied the Debug file first, then the error file
DEBUG:

Hello,
Have problem to import downloaded .adif from eQSL. The file is downloaded, but CQRLOG crashed during import.
Hello! I noticed today that my CQRLOG DXCC stats didn't agree with LOTW stats. LOTW had one more. The issue was that confirmed contact with TO5Z is Martinique in LOTW (correct) and France in CQRLOG.
I read a posting that reminded me the fix would be in a dxcc table update and it occurred to me that I haven't seen a dxcc or qsl manager update prompt in ... seems like a few months!. I looked in Preferences and the boxes are checked. Have there not been any updates in quite a while or do I have a problem locally?
version is 2.5.2(001)
Thanks!

I FOUND A LOTW CONFIRMATION FROM ARRL FOR JD1YAB WITH PROPER CREDIT FOR OGASAWARA. I COULD NOT FIND THE CALL JD1YAB UNDER THE OGASAWARA PREFIX JD(O) BUT INSTEAD CQRLOG STORES THE CALL AS JA-JAPAN. IT WAS CONFUSING HOW I COULD HAVE A LOTW CONFIRMATION FOR A STATION THAT SEEMED TO NOT BE IN MY LOG. OF COURSE I TRIED AND TRIED TO EDIT THE LOG QSO AND CORRECT PREFIX BUT CQRLOG HAS THE VERY ANNOYING HABIT OF INGNORING USER INPUT AND DOING WHATEVER IT LIKES. THIS IS MY THIRD ENCOUNTER WITH THIS FORCED ERROR ON DXCC PREFIX. PLEASE ALLOW USERS TO CORRECT DXCC PREFIXES THAT ARE IN ERROR.
cqrlog 2.6.0_(119)_gtk2 + wsjtx 2.7.0-rc2
click on callsign in bandmap or in the cluster
1 offline off
2 shows the callsign info, but after a few seconds everything is cleared.
Hello:
I was trying to fetch loc_testing and recompile since I couldn't upload to Clublog.
Unfortunately, when I tried to compile, I got two errors about crtbegin.o and crtend.o missing and that linking would probably fail. Evidently it did. I found a post where an individual had encountered a similar problem, but never solved it. https://www.cqrlog.com/comment/8302#comment-8302. I've never used Lazarus-GUI and couldn't figure out how to make that work.
I tried the following:
PLEASE REVISE CQRLOG TO ALLOW USERS TO CORRECT COUNTRY NAME AND PREFIX ERRORS FORCED BY CQRLOG. THE DXCC STATUS IS NOT SHOWING CONFIRMATIONS CORRECTLY AND MANUAL CORRECTION IS IGNORED BY CQRLOG. PLEASE ALLOW USERS TO CORRECT COUNTRY NAME AND PREFIX.

Hello,
I have used CQRLOG for several years and am a great fan. Recently eqsl made a change to their download ADIF file that caused CQRLOG to freeze when trying to parse it. Saku quickly had a fix (rev 119) and was great at helping me to get a working build (albeit 32-bit) on a Raspberry Pi. Saku is a real asset to the CQRLOG community.
Is it possible to delete a single QSO in my HamQTH log.
I have 2 entries differing only in date/time. One is incorrect.
Thanks
Hello all,
I've read a few threads regarding CQRLOG on Linux Mint and to be honest this is really a major PITA.
I have unterstood, that it can run standalone with MariaDB and without MySQL, but right now, there seems no way to install MariaDB without MySQL on Linux Mint 21.2 or at least I don't know how.
When I do this:
sudo apt install mariadb-server mariadb-client
I just contacted TX6D (DXPedition in French Polynesia) on FT8. CQRLog lists it as France, not French Polynesia. How do I fix this? TX is not listed in the DX listing.
Thanks
Hi all, I just download the version 118, and I try to download from eQSL.
but when i see: "preparing import..." stops and few secons after my system want to kill the program. I wait for a some hours and nothing occurs.
The only option is kill cqrlog. Uploading to eQSL or all use of LOtW run fine. I only see this problem downloading from eQSL.
I try also to repair database, but no success.
sorry for my poor english.
Jordi
Hi
CQRLOG freezes after downloading data from eQSL. Amazingly works perfectly uploading data, and also down and uploading to LOTW. THe only options are wait wait wait ... or force exit.
If I run it in debug mode, the data seems to be downloaded properly, the errors are prepared BUT freezes when the data should be shown, and the last lines shown in the debug are the following:
update cqrlog_main set eqsl_qsl_rcvd = 'E'
,eqsl_qslrdate = '2023-10-01'
where id_cqrlog_main = 6394

Hello,
This seems to be a recurring issue, but I have ran into yet another problem with uploading to online logs.
Some background: I run a number of different instances of CQRLOG on different machines around the house. The mother instance is running headless on a RPI. The working machines (two laptops and a RPI400) run their own versions but use the database on the RPI. In this way, I can log to the same database from various locations around the house (I have two shacks),
This works fine for some years now.
Cqrlog has option to remove duplicates from log. "Qso list/File/Remove dupes from the log"
But sometimes you may have only need to seek duplicates without removing them right away.
For this you can use command "mysql" using command terminal. It might be better than "QSO list/Filter/SQL console", but both ways will work.
If you have selected "Save log data to local machine" you have to start Cqrlog first and look what log number you want to use.
When Cqrlog is running open command terminal and give:
Hey all,
I have not seen any activity of Petr lately..
A while ago i send him an email but i did not get a reply..
Started to get a bit worried... He's a nice guy..
And with covid stuff the last years...
Just hope he is ok...

Has anybody gotten CQRlog to use CAT control with a Yaesu FTdx10? When I plug in the usb cable the only port that shows up is 'serial'. Can't get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

WHEN I CHANGE IT TO KH8, HIT APPLY AND SAVE IT SAVES AS USA AGAIN.
OTHERS WILL HAVE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS ACTIVE DXPEDITION. K8R ON QRZ.COM IS REALLY AMERICAN SAMOA, KH8. WHY CAN I NOT CHANGE IT?
WITH 350 CW DXCC CONFIRMED I WOULD LIKE TO BE ACCURATE.

I have recently upgraded to cqrlog(118), and have noticed that it does not revert to normal operation after I exit from wsjtx. When I leave wsjtx(by Alt+F4), the offline indicator remains on and I cannot enter calls into the New Qso window. The only way I have found to recover is Ctr+Q and restart.
Setup: openSUSE Tumbleweed(up to date),WSJT-X 2.6.1, cqrlog(118) compiled from git source.
cqrlog starts rigctld, which is then shared with wsjtx.
This worked with the last cqrlog I compiled, which was somewhere around 116 - sorry I can't be more specific.
