Has there been a change how CQRLOG uses rigctld.
My rigctld starts on computer startup and I have asked CQRLOG to start rigctld also. It seems that it registers that it can not start rigctld and there is no rigctl. Restart of rigctl do not work.
If I manually kill my running rigctld and restarts CQRLOG wo a running rigctld everything works ok. But then rigctld unloads on exiting CQRLOG.
Rigctld on this station is used by various software therefore I need it running at all times.

I just installed Ubuntu 16.04 and also Ver. 2.0 of CQRLOG. I am not seeing my radio. I have a Yaesu FT 2000 and have it selected in TRX control set to 4800 from the radios menu, Data is 8, 2, and none,. DEVICE is /dev/tty/S0. I've tried several other settings as well. Handshake is Hardware DTR is OFF and RTS is ON and is connected to a serial port. I have also tried the serial to USB interface (preferred) and still nothing. Being new to Ubuntu, I don't know how to set the com ports up, or if that is even possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Tnx,
Dave W0ZY
hello: I installed cqrlog v 2.0.1
why does not the rig control the yaesu 1200 ft? while in wsjtx exists.
then the band map window does not resize why?
my S.O. Lubuntu is 16:04
thanks fabrizio de ik4yaz
So tickled to finally get the package working (somewhat) as of the latest version, but having a problem with TRX control window losing connection with the rig after about 20 seconds, (time varies). Running Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 (64 bit) in a virtual machine. Connected to rig via FTDI USB-serial cable.
Installed using terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ok2cqr/ppa;sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get install cqrlog
Everything appeared to go perfectly well, including all dependencies.
Configured preferences - current TRX control tab is as follows:
Hi, if I set brackets before word and after word site wont show that.
I mean < > brackets.
Earlier rigtld message, I had word defunct between brackets, but
I cant see it when posted...??
When clicking on a 5 MHz bandmap frequency, the rig gets switched to LSB.
For the 5 MHz band, it should be USB. This is the worldwide standard, and in some countries a licence requirement.

The last set of country files has a bug - too long lines (tried to enter too many details). Some Italian stations from islands were not resolved. New country files fixed this issue. My apologies & tanks for understanding.

If I log a QSO with IS0BOY/IM0 and choose EU-165, which is correct for Piana Island, it's OK.
If I then go to Edit QSO, the edit window resets it to EU-041.

I'm running CQRlog 1.9.0 on a Raspberry Pi 3, OS is Jessie. I connect to Quisk 4.0.4 and an OmniaSDR radio, using the Hamlib rig 2.
I have tried to install new version 2.0.1 from terminal and Update Manager and both get the same error:
When I try to make the qso-list-window narrower, the program always crashes.
Running ubuntu 14.04 and cqrlog 2.0.0-1~trusty
cqrlog --debug= 1 ends up like this:
I have been trying to get CQRLOG 2.0 installed for a week now and have decided to ask for help. I normally try all I know which is not much before giving up. I am a linux newby and know little in using the command line but I try. The following is the error I am receiving! Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I have only been using Linux and CQRLOG for a few months now and recently I realized that the Backup feature does not work anymore. When I exit the program, it asks if I want to perform a backup. I select, YES and the program immediately exits.
My log is correct and I have not dropped and contacts, but the backup file is NOT created. It was at one time, but not anymore. I have the program set to backup to the local Linux machine and also across my Windoze-7 network. It did work at some point in the past.

Hi Petr!
Nice to see that you are releasing new version. Congratulations.
I think I'll jump out of the train at this point and keep 1.9.0 with my extensions as they full fill my needs and are too big job to adapt to new version.
One thing that I have think about, but been too lazy to implement, is a ncdxf beacon support.
I just moved from ubuntu 15.10 to 16.04 today. While cqrlog-2.0.0 runs fine, I get the following error when trying to update:
I just updated to version 2.0 and the TRX control no longer works. grig still works, so nothing is wrong between my rig and PC. (grig --model 311 --rig-file=/dev/ttyS4 --speed 19200).
I have no idea what the problem might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
*** NOTE: Using my "Windows mentality," I rebooted and now everything works! ***

Hi
in the DX-Cluster window and in the bandmap I get spots in magenta (my colour for new mode count.) for countries which are already worked/confirmed. This seems to happen on 80m and 17m for RTTY/Digimode spots. I have checked the Preferences/Bands/Frequencies and found the settings ok.
For example ZS2EZ is shown in magenta on 18105 RTTY right now - should be new mode. But checking the DXCC stat. I see ZS already wkd/cfmd ".LE" on 17m RY. Same happened to a PY, DS and A9 spot on 17m RTTY. All of theme wkd/cfmd b4 but magenta colour.
A Bug? Or is it me?
Hello,

Hi,
I just created the first testing version of CQRLOG 2.0.1.
CHANGELOG:
- fixed "TApplication.HandleException TControl.InvalidatePreferredSize loop"
- frequency memories didn't switch between AM and FM when the radio is on USB or LSB - fixed
- bandmap didn't show CW spots when radio was in CWR mode - fixed
I've created both 32bit and 64bit versions.
http://www.cqrlog.com/files/beta/cqrlog_20160421_amd64.tar.gz
Got this error at start:
"Error during connection to database:
TMySQL55Connection can not work with the installed MySQL client version: Expected (5.5), got (5.7.11)."
Last 20 lines of mysql.err:
Kubuntu 15.10, CQRLog has been working fine for weeks. This morning it wont start. i reinstalled CQRLog and XPlanet, hoping the config file would stay safe, altho' i do have a copy saved. All the windows open and then close again. i ran it from the command line and got this:

Hi Petr,
i have just installed the new version 2.0.0. Thank you for the excellent work.
When I select in "Preferences, TRX control" "Use CWR instead of CW", the band map is no longer working in CW.
It struck me today, because I have just my mcHF-Transceiver configured as radio-two, and here I have to use the CWR setting.
