Hi all,
As my title states, I am unable to upload to Clublog from CQRlog 2.5.2.
I tried debug but it tells me nothing.
In my opinion the programmed URL for Clublog could be wrong because it changed in all the years since I first started using CQRlog.
I tried to change it a bit using Hexedit but to no avail.
At first I am not that handy with Hexedit and more important, I would not know the proper URL anyway.
I am glad to be back on the bands and happy to have CQRlog up and running on a "dedicated" PC.
Does anyone know what to do? My credentials for Clublog are just fine.
I posted this in another thread but it looks like it is not too active on the forum.
Maybe this is a better way.
[EDIT 1] In the meantime I have discovered that "https://secure.clublog.org.php" should be replaced with https://clublog.org/
Hexedit is a bit of an enigma to me. I can't seem to get the empty spaces away between https:// and the rest.
[EDIT 2] I used "Bless" to edit the file. All looked well but I could not start CQRlog. Segmentation error (or fault).
Anyone please? TIA.

Hi Tjalling!
Your discovery is right. Hard coded address has changed.
In recent versions of Cqrlog you can change it.

You have two ways:
1) Get offcial Cqrlog source from GitHub and compile it https://github.com/ok2cqr/cqrlog
2) Install my clone of Cqrlog called "Alpha" over exisiting Cqrlog with install script from https://github.com/OH1KH/cqrlog/tree/loc_testing/compiled
Both ways offer version where you can fix the http address without hex edit.

Hi Saku,
Thank you so much!
I chose the option to install your clone.
Thanks to your script, it went smoothly and now I have a perfectly working setup on my Ham-PC.
The proper URL for Clublog was already in place so it started uploading as soon as I clicked "Upload changes to Clublog".
Again Saku, many thanks for your great work!

@PA3GOS
Hell again i have same error with other people. I am not familiar with debug or compile version.
I suppose that author should release e working version for Ham operators.
I ask to Tjalling if the suggestion received is working.
I have recently installed Debian , CQRLOG 2.5.2 and i want to know how to fix that.
Thanks for help

Hi Maurizio,
I received your email and a message from this forum.
The version I use works perfectly. The way it is now is that Saku OH1KH maintains CQRlog.
So versions in the repositories may not be up to date.
Here is the link to the latest version: https://github.com/OH1KH/CqrlogAlpha/tree/main/compiled
It's a .zip file. There are several to choose from. I believe the top .zip file is the latest. (138)
Now download "newupdate.zip" Create a new folder named CQR (or anything else if you wish).
Unzip newupdate.zip to that new folder.
In it there is just one file called newupdate.sh . That file should be run from terminal.
This is what Saku says: There is now new script for update. You need to download only the script and start it. It will do rest of downloads for you and then install updates.
So if all goes well you should get the latest version which works as it should.
MIND YOU! Make sure you always have a copy of your log!!!!! That way, if something goes wrong, you don't lose your important log.
Apparently I can't edit my post.
Disregard this: It's a .zip file. There are several to choose from. I believe the top .zip file is the latest. (138)
That line I should have edited out. ....
Hello Tjalling ! thankf for share my question again, I sent email because i was not sure about reading post (just a bit old)
I check carefully your important solution.
I have just downloaded the file, i have launch that, and i have read clear notes by Saku.
I choose solution #1
after some OK i have finished the job successfully.
With great surprise i start e immediate QSO in CW 20m with first station heard, stored LOG and everything is OK !!!!
thanks again to all for clear explanation, also for new adepts , just me !
here the windows received ! good bye ! best 73 Maurizio
