Satellite Frequency(s)

Hi,

Running 2.4.0 on Linux Mint 19 and bleeding edge (source pull) gpredict and hamlib.
When in new QSO screen with Satellite tab selected there is a space for "RX Frequency".
Above on the same screen is the Frequency that is read in from the radio that IS the RX Frequency.
Since all (assumption) satellite work is done in split mode, can you not use the hamlib get_split_freq to get the TX frequency?
That leaves the question, Shouldn't the space on the satellite tab be "TX Frequency" and could it not be filled in automatically with data from get_split_freq?

LOTW upload error -2

Hello all,

Just installed Mint 20 from scratch on my station's computer.

Everything seems to be working fine, except LOTW uploads.

Here is what I get:

ClubLog: Could not delete original QSO data!

I know this issue has been mentioned before but I thought I would share my experiences with this issue when trying to upload a log contains a record from SP5BGG.

In my case the issue appears to be due to his name being recorded as >tadek< on hamqth.

This gets encoded in the CQRLOG as &gttadek&lt (I removed the ; delimiters here to stop the encoding getting processed by HTML) and it is this encoding which seems to be the issue with uploading to clublog.

"Callbook -> Database update" hangs...

Ubuntu 20.04
CQRLOG 2.4.0 (001)
Using HamQTH.com for Callbook support

When I run "Callbook -> Database update" it hangs on the call MQ2JBS. I was hoping it would timeout and move on, but I have left it for hours on three different occasions and it just sits there on that call.

What can I do? Is there any way to help debug this?

Thanks!

Access violation. Rpi4 CQRLOG WSJT-X

PC Rpi 4 2m ram
OS Rasbain buster
CQRLOG 2.3.0 (001) 2018-06-17
rig 1 Hamlib Dummy
WSJT-X V2.1.2

I am working on a Rpi4 for logging and digital for my truck. I have a very nice ft891 with builtin usb conection. But it is easier to test my setup on my bench in shack with my dx1200. I tested cat control with ft8 on ft891 and it worked great.

I brought the Pi back in house loaded cqrlog ( no issues at all loading). set radio on wsjt to none and ham lib dummy on cqrlog. All i really wanted to do is confirm logging of qso with ft8.

Propagation type RPT (repeater) should not be uploaded to LoTW

I'm one of those people who logs all radio contacts, including those via a repeater. Thanks to the cool and upgraded features in cqrlog I can now set propagation type RPT (repeater) correctly on the Satellite tab for the contact.

But that will make the next upload to LoTW fail. tqsl will not accept the contact (which matches the LoTW rules: repeater contacts don't count). So tqsl ends with status code 9 "some QSOs suppressed" which means cqrlog will mark none of the contacts as uploaded and the problem continues.

rigctld, TRX Control, WSJTX etc logic makes no sense

In CQRLog the handling of rigctld is nonsensical at best and problematic in some use cases.

There are two main issues.
1. rigctld is not auto launched when TRX control window is opened. This means that TRX control is non-functional.
2. rigctld is not auto closed when TRX control window is closed.

In the case that "Run rigctld when program starts" is enabled in settings, TRX Control is not closed (along with rigctld) when WSJT-X or FLDigi modes are enabled, causing a conflict between rigctld and WSJT-X or FLDigi.
