Daily update / upgrade and starting CQRLog from the icon produces error message.

Re-installed CQRLog, same error message and it won't load / run
This on an Ubuntu+1 (Karmic) system.

I notice when I have all tabs for the CQRLog program open, when I want to edit an entry in the log file, the window gets stolen by the activity from the dx-cluster window. I have to disconnect from the cluster, then go back to the edit page, make the changes, save the information, then I can re-connect the cluster.
I haven't found a reasonable work around for this.

Ubuntu Karmic in use here.
When opening Xplanet, it opens in a small window.
Dragging the edge to increase the size left several copies of the original display of earth in the main window until one click anywhere in the window, then the earth would fill the window.
I wanted the Xplanet to be by itself, so I moved it one desktop over and make it full screen, or maximized. It worked as expected and displayed callsigns on the map where the should be.
This isn't good.
Suddenly my computer is very slow to respond to anything where before it was instant service no matter what I was doing or how many screens I had open.
I unloaded cwdaemon, that didn't help. Using htop I'm trying to figure out what is now running that is slowing things down that was not running before.
Dang, this is frustrating at times.... ..
But it is fun too.... ..

As far as I recall, I should just need to provide my userid and password.
I can manually login to lotw, download the data, and upgrade ok.

I have been involved in N1MM, and realize how hard this would be.
Having said that, N1MM is not going to port (VB6).
It really is time- I suspect you have learned much thru CQRlog ?
Start very minimal-- but make a start.
There are a lot of contesters that are STUCK with windoze because we need the logger support.

In the QTH drop-down box the selected QTH profile is cleared after each QSO entry. I would prefer a method that would keep the profile selected for each QSO until it is changed and then remains with the newly selected profile until it is changed.
Can anyone reproduce this situation ?
If I choose a line of the log and the select VIEW QSO to load the data into the NEW QSO window then select NEW QSO I would think I can now enter a new qso but I can not enter anything into the CALL WINDOW.
Reproduceable by anyone else ? CQRLOG 0.8.3

Not sure whether it represents an incompatibility with my glib version or what ?

As netbooks are getting more and more popular (1.2kg, 9 hours on battery, but a low resolution - 1024x600 in my case), the issue of big, not scalable windows of cqrlog becomes a problem. The temporary solution is manually changing the size of virtual screen, with a command like:
xrandr --output LVDS --panning 1024x800
but as far as I know, this doesn't work well on all netbooks.
It would be great to have windows of cqrlog slightly redesigned so they would permit working on 1024x600 resolution.

I noticed starting last night that qrz.com data is returning with "extra" info so it throws off what gets entered in the QSO fields. The extra data coming along seems somewhat random. QRZ returns additional data such as:

I've been playing with 0.8.3 tonight and everything is working fine; both radios work with the TRX control, FLDigi works great in remote mode, and my CPU usage is low.

After upgrade CQRLOG from version 0.7.0 to 0.8.x, I can't write any field with polish charset (for example: Name, QTH, Comment for QSO). Older data is display correct charset. If I edit older data with polish charset and save – this record lost polish charset. The polish charset use UTF-8. I think it's a bug... I have to stay in version 0.7.0 this nice program...

Very Interested by CQRLOG, I installed it on an UBUNTU JAUNTY 9.04 - GNOME with cqrlog_install.sh.
I installed libhamlib-utils package (apt-get install libhamlib-utils) and libstdc++5 with success.
CQRLOG features worksbut very slow (more than 1 minute after first screen (bug paddle)) to see others menus. and when I enter a call, it appears after 20 seconds.
a 'ps -aux' indicates 95 % of CPU used by CQRLOG.
My computer settings are : PENTIUM III 500 Mhz, 256 Mo RAM. Others applications run well (firefox, the gimp).
A small bug:
I seem to be only able to communicate with radio 1 regardless of which radio is selected.
The TRX window's radio 1/radio 2 buttons change color when selected or by using 1 and 2, but the control stays with radio 1.
Both radios are IC-765s; 9600 N81 and using devices /dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttyS1. I can communicate with each radio if I swap their devices in "Preferences" (set radio 1 as /dev/ttyS1 which is normally radio 2), so it would appear that hamlib and all the hardware is OK.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter a callsign that you already have in your QSO list.
2. Now you will find the old QSO on the top of the window. Right click on it and choose "edit QSO"
Expected behavior: The values from the old QSO should be filled in and will be editable.
What actually happens here, is: nothing.
Editing a QSO from the QSO list window works without problems.
It would be very nice, for those of us who use transverters to work the VHF/UHF bands, if it were possible to enter an offset to the freq read/written to the radio to = the transverter output freq. For example, to work 144.200 MHz, my "IF" rig is tuned to 28.200 MHz, so adding 116 MHz to 28.200 would enter the correct QRG into the log and onto the TRX window.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or something on my end, but I'm having a hard time getting the rig control working in CQRLOG. I can control the rigs using the cli command (rigctl -m 329 -r /dev/ttyS0 -s 9600), but the TRX window will not update.
If I launch CQRLOG from a terminal, I get the following message on start-up and when I refresh TRX:
An error has occured setting the rig pathname
I think I have all the configuration settings OK (ID: 329 for IC-765, 9600 N81).
Running Ubuntu 9.04, CQRLOG 0.8.2, and Hamlib V1.2.8.
