CQRLOG freezes when moving the mail window on Ubuntu 24.04

Hello CQRLOG-Community!

I am using CQRLOG for many years, now i updated my Laptop to Ubuntu 24.04.

Importing my preferences and Log worked perfectly, but I am running into an issue which occured first when I entered the QSO-List. Moving the column widths freezes the program, after a short while the screen turns black, after a few seconds I can continue using the program.

The same occured in the mail window, even when I try to move the window or scroll through the entries of the list.

Fresh install (Mint's Software manager bug?)

I've installed from zero Linux ( Mint 22 Wilma base: Ubuntu 24.04 noble) in my computer.

Reinstalling my ham programs all went ok, then installed CQRlog (via Software Manager, mintinstall) which was fine, but when I ran it, popped up an error related to mysql database.

Tried to reinstall it from a terminal window (sudo apt install cqrlog), ... "nothing to install because CQRlog is at it most recent version". But the error still popped up.

Unable to enter frequency , Hamlib dummy Radio

CQRLOG downloaded 9/25/2024 onto Ubunto 22.04, Mariadb installed Ok

I am using CQRLOG Free standing without a Radio and cannot manually enter the QSO frequency

Workflow: New QSO, Frequency, select a frequency from the pull down
the frequency flashes and returns to blank. The same when the frequency is typedy in, the window blinks and changes to a blank.

Rig name is HAMLIB DUMMY NO VFO

(Radios to be added later)

MySQL not starting

First off I am a Linux beginner and a total hack job, but I'm learning. I am running Fedora version 40, 64 bit.

I installed CQRlog and it wouldn't start, I searched my error and found I needed to delete ~/.config/cqrlog folder. This got the program working. Fast forward a few days and I am in the middle of updating a qso with a confirmed qsl. CQRlog froze and I got this error. Error during connection to database: TMySQL57 Connection : Server connect failed.

Database access denied after moving to new system

I have been using cqrlog for a long time.

I do *NOT* use a 'local' database because I access the database from more than one computer.

I've just moved to a new system after the old one died - but I have a non-bootable image of the disk, so all my files are okay.

The new system is Debian 12 (Bookworm) with the KDE desktop

I installed Maria-DB server and client.

I then installed the Debian package for CQRLOG which is version 2.5.2

When I try to run it I get the following message.

Same question about failed upload to Clublog as a new thread.

Hi all,

As my title states, I am unable to upload to Clublog from CQRlog 2.5.2.
I tried debug but it tells me nothing.
In my opinion the programmed URL for Clublog could be wrong because it changed in all the years since I first started using CQRlog.
I tried to change it a bit using Hexedit but to no avail.

At first I am not that handy with Hexedit and more important, I would not know the proper URL anyway.
