I changed my QTH to my call sign "K4JIM" and got the following:

Resubmitting these QSOs will cause them to be reported as already uploaded.

If you did not see any errors, you can send signed file to LoTW website by pressing Upload button

Uploading file ...

So I made progress, but what does Error: -2 mean? I looked on LOTW and these QSO's didn't get uploaded.

HI Jim!

The QTH is the same as you see in TQSL/Station location view besides the "house" icon.
I have there Pori so the line in upload form looks like:
/usr/bin/tqsl -d -l "Pori" %f -x

Do you have libssl-devel package installed? https://www.cqrlog.com/comment/8202#comment-8202
In some cases (Rasberry PI) broblem may be https://www.cqrlog.com/comment/7681#comment-7681

Do you have special characters in your password? There are some that 2.4.0(001) can not send ok.

It's working now!!!

Thank you Saku! I thought maybe it was my password to I went to LOTW and changed my password, then updated my LOTW password in CQRLog, but still to Error -2. However I did take you advice and installed libssl-devel package (which wasn't already installed), restarted Linux Mint, tried uploading again and success!!! Then I was able to download from LOTW to QRZ. So all is well!! I really like CQRLOG especially now that I can log in one place and upload! Now on to try EQSL upload!

Thank you,
Jim, K4JIM

I'm having a similar issue.

I'm having a similar issue. Trying to get back up and running after a long hiatus. This is the error I get from LOTW when trying to upload my updated logs.

My station location is FN31ms. Have no idea where to go from here. Suggestions?

I'm having a similar issue.

Hi Mark!
Open tqsl program from startup menu.
Select tab certificates. There you should see at least one location. Location here does not mean locator, but the name you have given when you assigned your certificate.

That name should be in cqrlog's lotw upload window command line ( between quotes)

When tqsl program is open and you find the location, check thet your assigned certificate is still valid (from certificate info).
If not, you must renew it.

But in your case the error points to location name that should be checked first.

How ever updating certificate is lot more easier when it is still valid, rather than doing it after it has expired.

Hi again, Saku.

Hi again, Saku.

Because it's been so long since I was last active, and I changed computers, I started this journey with a brand new certificate anyway, maybe two weeks ago. Attached is a screenshot of the certificate properties. But when I go to the Locations tab, it's empty and I cannot add a location because it gives me an error "No certificates available"! I tried in TQSL to delete add my certificate again from my .PK12 file. That much seems to work. Only thing I can figure is the message in properties "Awaiting response from ARRL". Honestly, they make this whole process so much more complicated than it has to be, it's MADDENING!

Do you think I should reapply for another certificate again? Or drive over to ARRL HQ (Only about 10 minutes from where I work), grab someone by the collar and say "HEY!!! WHAT'S GOING ON???" LOL!

It figures that I just now

It figures that I just now received an email from the LOTW team rejecting my request for a certificate because one was sent to me on Jan 8. I only just got around to trying to install that one a couple of weeks ago. When it failed, I requested another. I still have the file from Jan 8. I will start over and try installing it again.

Like I said. Maddening! >:-(

My love note sent just now to

My love note sent just now to LOTW........

I am STRUGGLING to install a new certificate that you sent me on January 8. Your system keeps complaining that I must install it FROM the computer on which I made the request. I AM! And the ONLY reason I requested the new certificate is BECAUSE I changed computers! This is one of the most infuriating tasks I am forced to endure, every time I wish to use LOTW. IMHO, WAYYYYYYYYY more complicated than it needs to be.

So now that your system refuses to accept the certificate sent to me on Jan 8, what do I do now?

Sorry for the tone of this email but I am really pissed off!

Ever so sincerely,

Trying to upload to LOTW, fails

Hi!
Certificates are rather complicated issue. I understand your pain on this issue.
Not trying to be wise afterwards, but once you get certificate installed you can make backup from it. There is selection in tqsl menu.

Using backup you can move it to another computer. And of course restore your pc after hd failure (as long as backup is safely in usb stick)

Also you will keep same 'identity' when using always same certificate,

OMG. I think I finally got it

OMG. I think I finally got it. Got another certificate from ARRL today. Installed it. Went smooth. Tried uploading my CQRLOG. Failed. Figured out I then needed to add a home location, then use the name I assigned the home location inside the quotes of the CQRLOG command line arguments. I still contend, wayyyyyyyyy more complicated than it needs to be. This is not some top secret military operation. It's ham radio, for Pete's sake.

Anyway, I do thank you for your help.
