Disk Full Error

I am getting a "Disk Full" message when starting CQRLOG. When I try to start it from a command like, I get a bunch of gibberish. I am getting ready to move things to a new PC, but I am afraid I may have just lost my logs and etc. Can someone help? What is going on? I can run the updates and etc...

Suggestion

Hello Will.
Some commands to try from a xterm or console: (You might bee root)
"df" shows partition filling
"du -sk * | sort -n -r | head -10" shows what is filling in current directory.
do a "cd" into the largest directory and repeat the "du".

The drive is only using 21%

The drive is only using 21% of the space. Far from full..

Log the output

I think the author would like to have a printout from console.
Just run "cqrlog" from a xterm and copy everything into this thread. (or redirect it to a file)
Maybe You could write something about Your running enviroment as well.

I have forgotten, how to

I have forgotten, how to create an output file from a command line... I think it is a simple script command...
I am running Linux Mint 12 on an older box. I am going to move onto Linux Mint 14.1.

redirect

from the xterm, run this:
"cqrlog > logfile.txt 2>&1"
This will redirect the stdout (standard output) and stderr (standard error) to the file logfile.txt.

Let the author answer

Yes, that looked crazy, and Petr, OK2CQR is mayby the man for this.
There should be backups taken every time when program is ended.
Should be in /home/wc2l/.config/cqrlog/database.
"ls -lrt /home/wc2l/.config/cqrlog/database" to list directory (latest file at the bottom).
These files should be able to import into a new installation.

Re: I finally remembered the

Hello Will,
very strange error, indeed. Please try to check RAM with memtest, zip the ~/.config/cqrlog and send it to petr @ ok2cqr.com, I'll look at it. I've never see error like that.
Borge, thank you for the help! Without console output, I could't do anything.

slow reply

Sorry for the slow reply!! Work just keeps getting in the way :-(
I did run memtest. It all checked out OK. I am suspecting that my HD is failing. I do have a full copy of my log and settings. I am NOT going to worry about this anymore. I will wipe the HD and scrap it. Take it as a lesson learnned.
I want to thank everyone for the help. It is great to have so much help!!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BACKUP ADI FILE CREATED EACH TIME YOU SHUT DOWN THE LOG.  THAT WAY YOU WILL NOT LOOSE YOUR LOG.  I WAS ABLE TO SET THE BACKUP ADI FILE TO A USB DRIVE SO I ALWAYS HAVE THE LATEST.
WISH I WAS SMART ENOUGH ABOUT LINUX AND CQRLOG TO HELP YOU.
