Another Fedora 16 x86_64 user having problems

Hi Petr,

Thanks for a great piece of Linux Ham software. I'm sure this is probably just an issue where I'm missing a library or something easy. Any ideas?

I'm having issues with both LoTW and eQSL.
I get this when uploading to LoTW:

Re: Another Fedora 16 x86_64 user having problems

Hello Craig,

I just installed Fedora 26 and cqrlog 1.3.1 into vmware and everything is working fine. LoTW download works, eQSL as well. According the list of messages in console, it seems that your internet connection didn't work. It didn't find the servers so because of that messages Host not found.

I've installed mysql server, muysql client, hamlib and openssl-devel packages. I'm not so keen in Fedora, I'll keep it in vmware so you can ask me what to do to get know what is wrong with your installation. Maybe your system is fine but some glitch in Internet connection.

Re: Another Fedora 16 x86_64 user having problems

Hello Petr,

Sorry to bother you without doing sufficient troubleshooting. I figured out my problem. I run my own DNS servers for my internal network, as well as provide public name resolution for my IPv6 address space. The only entry in my /etc/resolv.conf was the IPv6 address of my DNS server. I had to add a nameserver with the IPv4 address of my DNS server. :banghead: I had not even thought to check that because everything else was working on my system, and I was able to access eQSL and LoTW from three different web browsers. Anyway, It does work perfectly with both services now.
