CQRLog error on start (Exception=Access violation) - NOT RESOLVED

Hi all

This time the solution to remove MASTER.SCP has not worked for me. Two times removed and a new file is created but the program does not initialize.

I am looking for another solution.

CQRLog error on start (Exception=Access violation) - NOT RESOLVE

Hi!
Try to remove ib_logfile# where # is number. Usually 0 (zero) but there may be other numbers too.
Remove all those files. They are in ~/.config/cqrlog/database folder.

Then try to start Cqrlog.
If that does not help rename ~/.config/cqrlog folder.
mv ~/.config/cqrlog ~/.config/cqrlogbak
After that you get fresh start. I hope you have backups of your logs and also log settings (connect database/utils/configuration/export) for easier restore of preferences.

Thanks Saku. Removing ib_logfile0 has solved the issue.
Have a Happy New Year.

Noob question

Pardon my ignorance, but I can't find the ~/.config/cqrlog/database folder. I found the file in /var/lib/mysql and deleted it, to no avail.

Noob question

Hi!
You may get trouble by deleting files in that folder.
Besides, with normal user account you should not be able to delete files in that folder.

~/.config/cqrlog/database folder can be written also as /home/your_linux_username/.config/cqrlog/database .

Because folder ".config" has dot as start of the name it is hidden folder.
You must set your file manager to view "hidden files and folders"

With command terminal you are able to handle hidden files and folders if you just know their names.

Noob question

Thank you for your patience. Found it.

What did the trick though was removing MASTER.SCP.

Will becoming a patreon contributes to your work ?

Same issue with MariaDB servering multiple programs

I am using my MariaDB to serve multiple programs to include CQRLOG and Wordpress. Do I need to do something different to fix the problem?

Same issue with MariaDB servering multiple programs

Hi!
If removing MASTER.SCP does not help try removing ib_logfile# that is in ~/.config/cqrlog/darabase folder if you have checked 'save log data to local machine' at DB connection window.

If not, and using MariaDB running in localhost:3306 your ib_logfile is at same folder than other Mariadb stuff. Depending your Linux. For example
/var/lib/mariadb, /var/lib/mysql or similar folder.

I deleted ib_logfile0 and ib

I deleted ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1. CQRLog still will not connect to the database. This is the error message I receive:

Error during connection to database: TMySQL57Connection : Server connect failed.

Forgot to name the location of ib-logfile#

I forgot to say the ib_logfile#s were in /var/lib/mysql.

Forgot to name the location of ib-logfile#

Have you checked that Cqrlog uses sql username and password that have full access rights for databases whose names start like cqr% ?

Can you connect sql server manually from command terminal using same username and password than cqrlog?

mysql -uUSERNAME -pPASSWORD

Have you set right ipaddress and port at database connection window where your sql server is running?

127.0.0.1 port 3306 if your sql server runs in same pc as cqrlog.

Can't login from command line

I tried logging in from the command line

I tried this format first:
root@willie:/var/lib/mysql# mysql -u cqrlog -p *********
bash: !0: event not found

I tried the long form to be sure that the format was right
root@willie:/var/lib/mysql# mysql --user=cqrlog --password=********
bash: !0: event not found

I tried this to see if mysql would prompt for the password (and it didn't):

root@willie:/var/lib/mysql# mysql --user=cqrlog
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'cqrlog'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I can log in to PHPMyAdmin with my credentials and see the database.

Solved my problem

When the db login screen came up there was no user name in the field. The user name is in cqrlog_login.cfg but I guess for some reason was not loading. After supplying the user name in the db login it worked. I exited the program and then restarted it and got right into the program. !!@## computers!

Solved my problem

Yep!
You did answer yes to first question 'do you want to save log data to local machine' .
After that it hides username password and address/ port settings because Cqrlog starts mysql server of it's own.

At same time your mysql server at localhost port 3306 is running too, but not for cqrlog.

You have to uncheck 'save log data to local machine' to enter credentials for your 3306 sql server.
If 'open recent log at start' is checked it makes finding credentials page even harder. But then you should get log open and enter Newqso/file/open or create new log to find DB connection again.

Yes, #$! hard if you do not know that.
