contest notepad oddities

I am trying to use cqrlog in the SPDX contest with the contest notepad open in S&P mode. I have checked "Inc" and "No". After entering the callsign and hitting TAB, the cursor jumps to "MSG r" field. After this is filled in I hit "enter" to log the QSO.

The cursor should now jump back to the "Call" field of the contest notepad, instead it jumps to the Call field of the main form. I have to take the mouse and click inside the Call field of the notepad every time after a QSO.

Can this be fixed in the next release?
Thanks,

I also noticed hitting ESC 2

I also noticed hitting ESC 2 times brings focus to the main form Call entry, instead focus should stay in the notepad Call entry.

Hi Jo!

This should not happen (and does not in my laptop). What version you are using? "QSo list" bottom left corner you see date and version.
I just tested checking those "inc" and no". Enter call then tab moves to Msgr and enter saves with returning cursor back to call field.
If cursor is in Msgr one ESC returns back to call field painting call, but not removing it. 2xESC returns back to call field and clears call.(and qso if Msgr has content)

My test version in this laptop is 2021-01-25 v2.5.1(101) so it is a bit old.
QRX....
OK! it took less than 5 mins to update. Closed cqrlog, downloaded newupdate.zip from https://github.com/OH1KH/cqrlog/blob/loc_testing/compiled/newupdate.zip , extracted to /tmp and started it. Selected #1 (official 64bit) version and script downloaded and installed it.
Now my "QSO list" bottom left says 2021-03-05 v 2.5.2(001)

But that did not change "Contest" window. It works OK as should (as before).

So tell a bit more about your cqrlog version, please.

Hi Saku,

Hi Saku,

I have version 2.5.2 (001) 2021-02-12
It is a self compiled version.

Hi Jo!
OK. Version is new enough.
Very interesting. Tested once again with Rpi it works also there. Wit Raspberry Pi one ESC returns cursor back to callsign field, to the end of callsign and does not paint it over. So adding a letter will not wipe callsign.
That is the original meaning and 100% right action.

With my Fedora one ESC returns to end of callsign, but pants it over and one letter addition wipes previous callsign letters away. That is odd action and happens with both QT5 and GTK2 and probably happen because Fedora has latest FPC and Lazarus and RPi has old versions of them (from nearly same date when contest window has been made).

But in all cases focus is in contest window after saving or canceling the qso. Focus is set at src/fContest.pas line 433-435 and it happens every time after qso is saved.

That is the only problem I can see with contest window
