TMySQL57Connection:Server connection failed.

I'm trying to do a new install on Lubuntu 18.04. I can't seem to get MySQL going. The mysql.err file tells me "no such file or directory". I tried installing MySQL Workbench just to be sure I had everything MySQL wanted, but still no luck getting CQRlog to open. Any help appreciated. Jim, KF4RX

Hi Jim,

open a console and run cqrlog with --debug=1 parameter. There will be a lot of information. Copy and paste it here. Thanks!

Re: TMySQL57Connection:Server connection failed

I formatted my machine and upgraded Linux Mint this week. I had the same problem when I opened CQRLOG.

Solved today as follows, I uninstalled all CQRLOG, deleted all folders (including in /.config/...), ensure that the MySQL server and client were installed, I reinstalled CQRLOG and when I opened I asked to create a new database.

Now it opened normally and then I imported my ADIF.
