i would like to use another program with CAT in addition to CQRLOG.
With "socat" I had so far no success. Access to "/dev/pts/x" is obviously not possible. Do you know another solution.

Hi Wolfgang,
I'm sorry, I don't know any other solution. This port closing is related to HamLib. CQRLOG uses direct access to serial port only for WinKeyer USB and as far as I know, I don't lock port to exclusive access.
Does the program support HamLib? If yes, CQRLOG can listen on UPD port provided by rigctld without starting it.
