CQRLOG is SLOW to update

I now have everything working properly using CQRLOG, except for SLOW response with only one thing. When I select a packet spot with my mouse by using either the Band Map window, or by selecting directly on the DXCluster window, the main logging window information updates immediately with all the correct information from the DX spot. All fields auto populate correctly as well. The only thing is, it takes anywhere from between 30 seconds to a minute and a half for the radio to update, change band, mode and frequency.

At first, I thought the software was not talking to the radio, but then suddenly it jumped to some old spot I had selected as a test. I've tried this over and over with the same results. It just takes forever for the radio to switch, but the log switchs right away.

Any thoughts?

Hi Bob,

When you spin the tuning knob, does the trxcontrol window update your frequency somewhat realtime? or is that as slow too?

HI Alex,

HI Alex,

Yes, the radio is talking to the PC and when I spin the radio dial, CQRLOG shows the frequency update right away - no problems.

Re: HI Alex,

Hi Bob,

maybe there is a problem with poll rate set in preferences? What is the value in poll rate?

CQRLOG is SLOW to update

Hi all,

The poll rate is indeed often the culprit. In my case, TS-850, I set the poll rate to 1500. This may seem slow but is still more than fast enough to update the frequency in CQRlog. Now everything works as it should, even repeatedly.
