Can not start CQRLOG on Fedora 21

Since upgrading to Fedora 21 I have not been able to use CQRLOG as Fedora switched over to Maridb.

I have just upgraded to 1.9.0 and now I am getting the following error when trying to start
.

  Exception=Can not load MySQL library "/usr/lib64/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.18". Please check your installation.

The file is there as shown below.

$ ll /usr/lib64/mysql/
total 3520
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root    4764 Jun 24 14:05 INFO_BIN
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root     171 Jun 17 10:54 INFO_SRC
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root      24 Jun 24 14:05 libmysqlclient.so.18 -> libmysqlclient.so.18.0.0
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 3586568 Jun 24 14:07 libmysqlclient.so.18.0.0

I even tried connectiing to a remote MySQL Database with no success.

Unable to run CQRLog

Download and installed CQRLog okay but when I went to run it I get the following:

Error during connection to database:
TMySQL55 Connection  can not work with the installed MySQL client version: Expecxted (5.5) got (10.0.20-MariaDB)

How can I get around this and get it running . Is it not made for running under MariaDB

I am running Fedora 21 by the way

Re: Unable to run CQRLog

Are you using 64bit system? Could you try this binary, please? http://cqrlog.com/files/cqrlog_x64.tar.gz It's only cqrlog binary, use it to replace your current version but create a backup of original binary file.

There was one bug but the error message was different. MariaDB should work since version 1.9.0 without any problem.

Unable to run CQRLog

Hi Petr
I have done what you suggested. Managed to get the log open and functional but the following errors come up each time I open my log:

Error while reading stream.
File "/home/mal/share/Cqrlog/iomages/grayline.bmp" does not exist
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption
Press Cancel to kill the program

I Pressed OK
Database connection dropdown box - Selected "Open log"

Access violation:
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption
Press Cancel to kill the program

I pressed ok and the log opened and appears to function alright. Can I get rid of these error messages?

Yes I am running Fedora 21 64bit

Thank you.

Re: Unable to run CQRLog

Hi Mal,

you see the error because you've extracted cqrlog binary to your home directory and no to /usr/bin where is the original binary. Please copy new cqrlog to /usr/bin as root and it will work.

Able to start CQRlog with the 64 bit binary

I was able to get CQRLog started for the first time on Fedora  21 with the 64 bit binary. I installed it in /usr/bin

$ ll /usr/bin/ |grep cqr-rwxr-xr-x.   1 root root    14915632 Aug 22 11:21 cqrlog-rwxr-xr-x.   1 root root    11396568 Jul 31 20:25 cqrlog_org-rwxr-xr-x.   1 root root    15217760 Sep 30  2014 cqrlog_yuminstalled
I can now log into CQRlog. Thank you very much.

Unable to run CQRlog

Hi Petr,

Some good news . I have managed to get CQRLog installed and running but not in Fedora 21 . I dug out an old computer which is running Ubuntu 14.04 and installed it on that one . It comes up on the screen ok but I have not tried to install the transceiver yet (IC7200)
