DXCC and local time

Hello everyone on the forum. Kevin, KK4LSG, here. I am a new Linux user and new to ham radio so please be kind. I am enjoying CQRLOG, but I have run into a rather minor, but annoying issue. My computer clock is accurate and currently on EDT time. The logging QSO time listed on the QSO input page follows the computer clock time just fine. So does the sunrise and sunset times for local, and as far as I can tell, the QSO's local time. The problem is the local time listed in the DXCC box. It is one hour off. This is the case whether I check or uncheck the UTC sync with computer clock radio button on CQRLOG 1.6.0. Any advice on ensuring the local time is in line with the other clock functions that appear to be operating properly. I did check the date and time in the terminal, and both are set correctly. Any assistance would be appreciated to solve this issue. I did search on the forums for this issue, but I was unable to find a reference. If there is one, I would appreciate a link to the appropriate thread.

Thanks for any assistance.

Kevin, KK4LSG

Re: DXCC and local time

Hi Kevin,

I'm not sure but I think this problem is related to daylight saving time. Log doesn't have any way how to find out if the country has one hour more or not :(.

Hi Petr. Thanks for the response. That's what I think too. Not a big deal, but it may make me a bit red in the face (embarrassed) when I say GM instead of GA occasionally.

File, Preferences, Program,

File, Preferences, Program, make sure the box is checked that says get UTC time from computer time, that should help.

Hi Tom. Yeah. I have that box checked. I also unchecked the box and set the time manually (-4 in my case) and still no luck. Thanks for the reply.
