Multiple logs?

Any easy way to handle multiple logs?
I have 2 calls (OZ1PIF & 5Q2M) and i'm the QSL Mgr for OX3LX!

I have not found any easy way of dealing with this, ant suggestions?
Or is it an item for the wish-list?

PS: Bummed out by the HAMLIB problems/Serial Port Problems in Ubuntu 9.10 (It's NOT an CQRlog issue)

Re: Multiple logs?

Hi Peter,

CQRLOG doesn't support multiple logs. You must have more cqrlog directories.

I have the same problem with USB to serial adapter in recent Ubuntu. I must disconnect my WinKey after boot and connect again. This helps but it is boring.

Re: Multiple logs?

OK, I already knew that, I was looking for some kind of new/enhanced functionality. Anyway, I now have three separate installations! with separate Icons on the desktop, and although it's a bit clumsy it works for me.

This enabled me to cut my last tie to Windoze (I previously used VQlog), and I now run all my tasks on Ubuntu 9.04/9.10
In the future I'll only touch Windoze when maintaining my XYLs computer (she insists! on staying with Windoze), or when working contest with other club-members who insists on using N1MM (I admit: a very good universal contest-logger), or FDlog (for Region 1 Field day contest) both sadly only available for "the other system".

multiple callsigns / multiple logs

is there any solution, other than separate installs, to handle multiple callsigns or multiple logs? I have logs for about 12 callsigns, including 2-3 which are active at the same time on a regular basis. (Currently OM1US and NH2W).

I like a lot about CQRLOG, and would like to go with a native Linux log. Previously, under Windows I used Lux-Log and Logger, but even if they run under Linux using Wine, that isn't a great solution.

Input and ideas are very welcome.

Re: multiple callsigns / multiple logs

Hi Daniel,

there is no other solution. If you want to manage more callsigns, you have to have more CQRLOG directories.
Multiple log support will be in version 1.0.

Re: Multiple Logs

Ok Petr - Thanks, in this case then - I need to run another copy somehow, or use some other method.

RE: Multiple logs?

I, too, support this request. That is one thing I wish CQRLOG would do.
