To get CQRLOG to control IC-7300??

Trying to get CQRLOG to exercise rig control over my new IC-7300.

I have the IC-PAC CI-V cable connected. I have used this before with my IC-706MKIIG and had good rig control from CQRLOG to the 706.

The big difference is that I can not find what you say I should have "373 Icom-7300" in the drop down list for "Rig Model". Apparently there is no item in the drop down list for the 7300.

I have the installation set up basically the same with the following parameters in TRX Control preference screen based on your post above.

Here is what I have entered:

Path to rigctld binary: /usr/bin/rigctld
Radio: Radio 1
Host: localhost
Rig model: 1 Hamlib Dummy (it seems to revert to this no matter what I put in there) Have tried 373 many times.
Device: /dev/ttyUSB0
Poll rate: 500
Port number: 4532
Extra command line arguments: -m 373 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -t 4532 -s 9600 --set-conf=serial_handshake=None,dtr_state=OFF,rts_state=OFF
Use CWR instead of CW; NO CHECK
Run rigctld when program starts: CHECK
Radio one serial parameters:
Serial speed; 9600
Data bits: default
Stop bits: default
Parity: default
Handshake: None
DTR: OFF
RTS: OFF

So that's what I have.
I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on a 32 bit machine and have made my computer a part of the dialout users group; the dmesg command shows my PL 2303 attached to ttyUSB0;

When i run the following grig I do not get a connection between computer and the 7300: "grig 373 r -r /dev/tttyUSB0 -s 9600".

The command "ls /dev/ttyUSB*" tells me that USB0 is the correct serial port number.

I have active port permission because when i run "ls -l /dev/ttyUSB*" I get the response: crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 0 AUG 18 11:41 /dev/ttyUSB0"

I have CI-V set to 9600 baud on the 7300.

Can you help me figure out what I need to do to get rig control??

To get CQRLOG to control IC-7300??

Hi !
At first: Do you have latest hamlib?
Either get your distro's packet or load version 3.1 from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/hamlib/

If you have latest version of wsjt-x you also have their version of hamlib. Look for rigctld-wsjtx from same location as rigctld. I.E try to add suffix "-wsjtx" to end of cqrlog/preverences/TRXcontrol/Path to rigctld.

Version 3.1 knows IC-7300, I think.

CQRLOG and 7300

I can not get my cqrlog program to talk to my 7300. Could someone send me their settings from a working setup? Thanks Jerry K5JC
