Unable to use rig control with FTDI cat cable

hI Peter I have had no luck with geting cat control to work.
the following is from a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 and CQRLOG

Hi Jon,

please try to run cqrlog with --debug=1 parameter:

cqrlog --debug=1

it will show much more information. Are you member of dialout group? What device is created for FTDI cable?

I tried to change DIAL OUT GROUP to include me,and installed latest version of Hamlib 1.2.15.3.seems i got a bit further .Frequency is detected in XLOG and thats about it.
Thanks for your help ,been using CQRLOG for 4 yrs manualy though.

Config parameter error: Feature not available

Please set only serial port speed, other options leave as default. It should help.

Sorry for not leting you all

Sorry for not leting you all know sooner.Idid a clean install, ind a SUDO ADDUSER----GROUPS ,and all now working,just have to find out about getting FLDIGI and CQRlog to talk to eachother! Thanks Jon
