Playing with a Linux for for a few things. Went to install CQRLog again.
here is what I got:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
cqrlog: Depends: libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0) but it is not installable
Depends: libhamlib2 (>= 1.2.10) but it is not installable
Depends: libmariadbclient-dev but it is not installable
libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 is already the newest version (2.42.12+dfsg-4)
libhamlib-utils is already the newest version (4.6.2-1+b1).
Searching says: libmariadbclient-dev is a transitional package for MariaDB database development files. It was used in earlier versions of Debian and Ubuntu but has been replaced by libmariadb-dev and libmariadb-dev-compat in more recent releases.
I did try to install libmariadb-dev and it don't work.
So how do I get around the dependencies.

Hi,
when I run into problems like this I normally fall back to compile the program locally. It is not the easiest thing to set up a environment for compiling Cqrlog. Unfortunately I don't know if there is a description on how to do it somewhere. Maybe someone here can give you a clue?

I had similar issues. Tried to update due to access violation with 2.5.2 (messed it up somehow). Installed alpha according to link. Works fine! - Many thanks, Saku for this great software!

(just one hint: when starting cqrlog I get a note about new version 143 - but "git pull" sees 142 as newest...)
Hi!
Thanks Kemens!
It might be worth to try update script, if it has not been done since installing 2.5.2
How ever someone might like to stay on old public released version that is offered from packet repository.
You say CqrlogAlpha. I think you have missed the name change a while ago.
CqrlogAlpha is now Cqrlog_Improved and has different repository at GitHub.
Then current released version (in main branch) is 145 and developing is going on in devel branch with version number 145d
look at: https://github.com/OH1KH/CqrlogImproved for latest version.
