Hello,
I am trying to import an .adi file into an empty log. The file contains ~2400 QSO entries and was downloaded from LOTW. When opened as text, it appears to be correct.
OS: Ubuntu 26.04
TQSL: V2.8.6 build [pkg-v2.8.6]
CQRLOG: V2.5.2 (001)
Process:
opened: SHOW QSO List
navigated: QSL -> LOTW -> Import -> Import local LOTW ADIF file
Result is error shown in popup window with this text:
2402 QSO(s) were not found in your log.
QSO(s) are stored to /home/joe/.config/cqrlog/lotw_error.txt
I opened the error.txt file and the contents appear correct with each QSO having the error
QSO NOT FOUND in log
What am I missing? These are all the QSOs (no response QSLs) that are in the LOTW database. How do I get them into the log?

HI Joe!
I think you are doing LoTW download (QSOlist/QSL/LoTW/Import) in means to get qsos to your empty log.
That does not work as the import is for confirming already worked qsos.
Look at folder ~/.config/cqrlog/lotw and you see ".adi" files. There are your recent down and uploads.
Looking at file date you should see the file you have just downloaded.
Open it with text editor and make sure it starts "ARRL Logbook of the World Status Report". Then it is from LoTW to you, ones you have uploaded start with
"2.2.1
ADIF export from CQRLOG for Linux version 1.6.0"
Now you know right filename. (Other way is to go LoTW Web and download all your qsos as adif file and use that file)
Then go QSOlist/File/Import/ADIF and navigate to~/.config/cqrlog/lotw folder and find that file and open it.
Now qsos from file should go to your empty log.
If you do, after that operation, QSOlist/QSL/LoTW/Import you should get all the QSOs marked as confirmed by LoTW,

Again...I read your message too fast.
You already got the file downloaded from LoTW!
Just use QSOlist/File/Import/ADIF to import that file.
After that you can add LOTW confirm to imported qsos by using QSL/LoTW/Import/Download and pocess data from LoTW web
