When starting Alpha-cqrlog I now do not get the Band map window.
When quiting cqrlog and starting it again, the Band map window *does* show up.
All other windows show up as expected.
No errors are seen.
Manually starting the Band map window, does *not* make the window appear.
This seems quite reproducable on my self-compiled version of Alpha-cqrlog.
I do not remember this issue was seen on my previous pull:
commit c72d716efac7153f233411d0035bcc269abb239a
Author: OH1KH
Date: Sat Feb 28 14:44:27 2026 +0200
It does show up in my current (development) pull:
commit 554f38a4585400a4659034b1acf513e7ee27eb51
Author: OH1KH

As a result this may be a new (unknown?) bug. Therefor leaving a message on this forum.

Hi !
Could it be that position of bandmap (X,Y) refers to negative value?
You should check the configuration by exporting at Database open window using utils/configuration/export before opening a log.
When log is open there is config file at ~/.config/cqrlog. How that compares to saved config at window position section?
Check also that there are not multiple values for BandMap size/position.
What about if you change BandMap window position and size (smaller, to middle of screen), does that make any change?
As it works, it looks like saving window position and size somehow fails at load/save.
