Clear RIT after saving QSO mutes my FTDX-3000

Hello all,

I discovered a strange behaviour on my cqrlog 2.5.2 installation. Checking "Clear RIT after saving QSO" mutes my receiver after hitting the enter key for saving a QSO. Clicking on the button does no harm.
Experienced this behaviour on two different setups, one at home one at school.
Any ideas what causes this? A bug or is it my setups? Is there anything I can check?

Tnx in advance,

Wolfgang, DJ4QV

Hi Wolfgang!

May be Hamlib version, or FTDX property.
Set preferences/TRXcontrol poll rate to something like 3000-5000 and check "show communication with TRX on console".
Start Cqrlog from console, just type:
cqrlog (enter)
Then set RIT, save a fake qso and look at console what commands are sent to FTDX at qso saving time.

You can then telnet to "localhost 4532" and simulate those commands manually to see what causes mute.

If possible find latest Hamlib version from GitHub, compile and install to see if the bug has been fixed.
When doing that be sure that compiled Hamlib will install over the old one so that you do not have a mix of old and new Hamlibs.
