ciao e 73
P.S.: Should I ask to USE ENGLISH EXCLUSVELY? I am pretty sure that you will reply in a less polite way if we start to exchange info in Czech language...
P. S.: Se chiedo di utilizzare l'inglese? Sono abbastanza sicuro che vi risponderà in un modo meno educato se cominciamo a scambiare informazioni in lingua ceca ...

I also hate the grayline background image from the original installation package. It is simply too dark with too much contrast for my eyes (and monitor settings, although they should be set to its optimal values, also I tried to calibrate my screen). I use for years an alternate background image which is available for download here:
This doesn't work. the folder images is empty, when putting the image, and even changing to greyline.bmp does not work. I still have the cqrlog's default map which is horrible :)
Hello stefano on vai usr / share / cqrlog / images from there you can change grayline.bmp always with the same name with other map as you like to do a test in images always there with a map name that naturally bigearth.bmp rinomerai with grayline . bmp.

I use for years an alternate background image which is available for download here:
http://www.cqrlog.com/files/BigEarth.bmp.tar.gz
See also the menu topic Additional files.
Switching is very simple - unpack and put into your CQRLOG images directory, ie.
/home/martin/.config/cqrlog/images
(my user directory is named 'martin')
The file BigEarth.bmp is already present here and should be overwritten, the file name is a mandatory.
Thanx for the info Martin.
In "additional files" menu the download link doesn't work.
I've used this map https://www.dropbox.com/s/7k1bhvqoo7skkvz/earth-huge.bmp
