Carisoprodol and Tramadol are both used for treating body pain conditions. Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant that is primarily used for acute musculoskeletal pain such as muscle spasms, sprains, and muscle injury. On the other hand, Tramadol is an opioid analgesic that treats chronic body pain, neuropathic pain, and post-surgery pain.

The pain medicines are available under different brand names. Carisoprodol as Soma Pill and Tramadol as Ultram. Soma Pill is found in the dose strengths 250mg to 350mg which can be increased to 500mg. However, Ultram is available in the strengths 50mg, 75mg, 100mg, 150mg, 200mg, 30mg, and 400mg.

The safety profile of Carisoprodol and Tramadol varies. Being an opioid analgesic, the risk of abuse and dependency is higher in Tramadol than Carisoprodol. Therefore, it is much safer to use Carisoprodol than Tramadol.
