Upgrade Ver. 2.6.0 (001) Gtk2 to latest Alpha/Beta version 12x

Is it possible to directly update my older version of CQRLog to the latest Alpha version 124 or 125 using the instructions from Saku's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_QLQhQyFVg)?

Has anyone made this change and has it been stable and working properly?

In a separate message, Saku mentions updating the GLIBC file on my system. This is a major element to having a properly operating Linux OS. I'm quite concerned that trying to update this file will crash my system. There is quite a lot of discussion on the internet regarding trying to update this file, only to have the system not work anymore. The version on my system is, Version 2.31 and version 2.35 or higher is required (https://github.com/OH1KH/cqrlog/blob/loc_testing/compiled/README.md).

Linux Mint 20.3
CQRLog Ver. 2.6.0 (001) Gtk2

Thanks,
