TRX control is currently very minimal and not convenient to control a remote station (mine is only a few ten's of meters far, but we can also imagine control over the internet).
I imagine that writing a new interface is time consuming and development people has higher priorities.
Can we imagine to interface CQRlog with FLRIG as it has been done with FLDIGI. In my understanding, that can improve greatly the remote capabilities at minimal work.

TRX control
Hi Alain!
That has been in my mind also.
FLRIG uses XML and so there should be plugin for reading that. But It should be done so that it can be selected by user.
Mainly it means rewriting fTRXControl.pas and uRigConrol.pas.
It should not be hard to do. I actually once started that but then did give up because I was happy enough with current system.
And even now you can run FLRIG and then choose rig model "#4 Flirig Flrig" in prefences/TRXControl and rigctld will communicate with FLRIG (that was the other reason I gave up because it is already invented there via Hamlib)

Hi Saku
Thank you for this feedback. Your proposal sounds attractive and good enough for many situations.
But I couldn't find the rig model "#4 Flirig Flrig". There are many rigs but I couldn't find it. In fact I have #1, #2 and then 101. Did it vanished or did I look at the wrong place?
I am running Ver 2.5.2 001

Hi Alain!
It seems that you have very old hamlib. Current version number is 4+ Try to find upgrade for it. Then you see #4 flrig in selections. Also rig model numbers will all have 4 digits then.

HI Saku
I had obviously a "legacy" version of hamlib. It is corrected now.
I tried the configuration you proposed:
Put 127.0.0.1:12345 to column named "Device(eg /dev/ttyS0)"
Column "Poll rate" must have bigger number. A value around 1500 - 2500 is better.
Set all "Radio one serial parameters" to value "Default" although it does not matter with rig model #4
I had also to define host as 127.0.0.1 and not as "local host". And now it works perfectly. Great!
