libpango is installed but still 'missing' by cqrlog

Hi all,
I wanted to install the new version of cqrlog today and got this error message (sorry, but somehow the code-tags don't work :/ )

# dpkg -i cqrlog_1.8.1-1_amd64.deb Selecting previously unselected package cqrlog.(Reading database ... 202841 files and directories currently installed.)Unpacking cqrlog (from cqrlog_1.8.1-1_amd64.deb) ...dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of cqrlog: cqrlog depends on libpango-1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0); however:  Package libpango-1.0-0 is not installed.

but on the other hand
# aptitude show libpango1.0-0Package: libpango1.0-0                   State: installedAutomatically installed: yesMulti-Arch: sameVersion: 1.30.0-1Priority: optionalSection: libs

What could the problem be? Is there something I don't see?

When unpacking the .deb package and starting the executable right away, it works without problem. I just can't install it...

Unpack the .deb package, extract the executable and copy ti /usr/bin folder manually. The installation does nothing else...

DL4UNY libpango is installed but still 'missing' by cqrl

Deb installer will move files to rigt location. But also install MySQL server and libraries, hamlib and other dependencies. Also runs script /usr/share/cqrlog/cqrlog-apparmor-fix which is very importatnt. Without it, CQRLOG won't work because MySQL could not save the data into any directory that is not listed in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld.

Andre, I'm sorry, only Ubuntu 14.04 and Debian unstable are officialy supported. Use binary files from tar.gz package and unpack it into your home directory. That is the only solution I have.

libpango is installed but still 'missing' by cqrlog

Hello Martin and Petr,
thanks for your help.
As I wrote in the first post, I already did what Martin suggested. But I wondered why this error occurs. I can log with the newest version.
When compiling on my own, it works without any error...
Thanks for information, Petr. I will try to run that script by hand next time. It should work as well, right?

Re: libpango is installed but still 'missing' by cqrlog

Hi Andre,

yes, it will work as well. The cqrlog apparmor script is usefull when you install cqrlog for the first time or if any upgrade ovevrite the config file.

Missing hyphen?

On my Debian wheezy machine I have the same problem. This may be a red herring, or it may turn out to be the cause, but the two package names are slightly different, cqrlog is looking for "libpango-1.0-0" and the installed package is "libpango1.0-0".

Note that there is a difference with a hyphen ("-") between the libpango and the 1.

As I say, this might not be the problem, then again, it may.
