Slackware packages

Slackware packages with ham radio software are mostly outdated or obsolete. Here you find packages tested on Slackware 12.0 and above.

  • hamlib-1.2.8 is the most fresh release of this well known library set. Ten-Tec Orion users should be warned that earlier versions of hamlib contains a bug in the Orion backend - the communication with the radio fails when Orion is tuned to 7015.9 and some other frequencies. This version has the bug fixed and works well. Elecraft users (K2 and K3) should use the Kenwood (any) backend, however a dedicated backend for both is expected.

  • cwdaemon-0.9.4beta1 is the last version of cwdaemon which does not require the unixcw. Thorough tests shows that the 0.9.4 version which depends on the unixcw does not have any advantage against the beta version. This version is also used in the CW interface (currently under development, will appear in CQRLOG 0.7.0).
